Advice ; To take or not to take that is the question


In today’s society we are constantly conflicted with choosing between old home remedies and items vs new modern medicine and modern gadgets. This is by no means a post to tell you which method is better than the other, but merely to point out home remedies and items that I have come across in this past month. That worked out for my kids and I. I am sure you have heard about or even used one or all of these home tips before please let me know in the comments below.

#Naillinkupsa -Mauve Misfit


I decided to go for the mauve prompt this week ,which was selected in honour of our awesome South African Blogger Ordinary Misfit.

Mauve can be considered as a neutral colour (so it is work friendly) it is also a fantastic colour for the Autumn/Winter season.

Always build on a strong foundation – MAC Studio Sculpt review

Mac Studio SculptThis is the second time I am purchasing this foundation,and what always draws me to it,is the amazing full coverage I achieve when I apply it.Mac Studio Sculpt foundation I would say is best for dry to combination.My T-Zone is extremely dry so normally when I apply foundation after a while it start flaking in between my eyebrows,which has not happened with this foundation.

Don’t negotiate with terrorists

CYMERA_20160309_072208The title of this post was my sisters’ exact words (she has no kids but is a school teacher so has plenty experience) when I posed the question of how to deal with temper tantrums in our family group.I didn’t really notice this before when I only had Zoë ,but thinking about it now,it surely was there.The other day while Kai was throwing a tantrum, I realised that this is not something we teach our children it’s something that just naturally comes to them as each one of them have their own way of doing it.
