This young lady has been making waves not only on the local scene but also on the international scene, and I am so honoured to be able to have been able to chat to her and pick her brain a little bit.

How long have you been modelling?
I have been modeling for 12years, since the age of 13.
What has been your biggest inspiration?
My biggest inspiration to date has been and is, my daughter. I’m quite a driven person in general, but she has fueled my passion to a level where giving up or slacking is not an option.
What has been your greatest moment in your career so far?
Each job I do is different, but off the top of my head I would say a commercial I recently shot in Poland has been one for the books. I was flown out to shoot it, was treated superbly by everyone involved in production and welcomed warmly by the locals. I’m the lead in the ad and there’s quite a bit of dialogue. Being able to engage the viewers is what I love. It hasn’t aired yet, but it will flight in SA soon and it’s about oral hygiene.
What has been your worst moment in your career so far?
I don’t have one particular bad experience but what I really dislike when filming or being on any set is when its so unorganized that it ends up affecting your life outside of the job, it becomes a stressful environment fast. Also, certain situations where you are not treated as a professional. If anyone on set addresses me as though what I bring to the table is ‘less’ than what they do. An essential part of anything wanting to be a success is recognizing that each person involved has a role and that it adds a particular benefit to them being there, from catering and cleaning staff to the art department, director and the talent.
Who is your favourite local designer?
I’ve worked with many local designers but my favourite would be Cape Town born, Tracy Gore of Gorejous Clothing. We met about 4 or 5yrs ago. We sit  and share ideas and when she completes my garments I always walk away a happy client and friend as well as looking like an art piece, because each item is literally made for me.
What is your go to beauty product at the moment?
At the moment my favourite beauty product is Purifying Fluid by Babor, it leaves my skin feeling supple. I also don’t leave the house without my Sleeks  cream lipgloss from Inglot, it accentuates my lips with a natural peachy shine.
What would be your advice to aspiring models?
My advice to them is; find something you love doing first, something that makes you want to get out of bed in the morning, something you can ‘fall back on’. Modeling isn’t really a full time, lifetime career, a lot of the time it’s a hit or miss. If it’s genuinely something you see yourself doing day in and day out (often with shooting schedules that continue through the night and day), do your research on prospective agencies, educate yourself in running your personal brand and once the framework is in place put yourself out there and keep pushing because you never know whether its the first or tenth agency you meet with that will end up signing you.
